Clear Browser Cache and Cookies

Locate your browser below and follow the steps to clear cache and cookies. This is needed at times to see the most current version of a website as stored files (older versions of a site) display by default. In other words, newer/updated versions of sites may not display properly.

Note: After clearing cache/cookies, always close the browser and open a fresh instance

Mobile Devices

iOS Safari

  1. From the home screen, go to Settings > Safari 
  2. Toward the bottom of Safari’s settings screen, tap the button for Clear History and Website Data, then tap Clear History and Data to confirm.

iOS Google Chome

  1. Open your browser.
  2. Go to Menu (“…” at the bottom-right corner) > Settings > Privacy.
  3. Tap Clear browsing data at the bottom of the screen, leave the defaults selected (browsing history, cache, and cookies), then tap Clear.

Android

  1. Open your browser.
  2. Android browser: Go to Menu > More > Settings or Menu > Settings > Privacy & Security.
    Chrome: Go to Menu > Settings > Privacy.
  3. Android browser: Tap Clear cacheClear history, and Clear all cookie data as appropriate.
    Chrome: Tap Clear browsing data at the bottom of the screen, leave the defaults selected (browsing history, cache, and cookies), then tap Clear.

Desktop

Google Chrome

  1. Press Ctrl+Shift+Delete
    • ​​Note: On a Mac, press Ctrl+H Clear Browsing Data
  2. Select All time from time range to clear drop-down
  3. Check (at least) the following boxes:
    1. Cookies and other site data
    2. Cached images and files
  4. Click Clear data

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Press Ctrl+Shift+Delete
    • ​​Note: On a Mac, in the menu bar, click on History > Clear Recent History
  2. Select Everything from time range to clear drop-down
  3. Expand Details, select (at least) the following:
    1. Cookies
    2. Cache
  4. Click Clear Now

Safari

  1. Go to Safari > Reset Safari
  2. Select Remove all web site data
  3. Click Reset
